dih-SIN-ter · noun, verb
Dissinter fuses disinter — to bring to light — and dissenter — to refuse the official account. For us, digging is the dissent.
Dissinter brings buried political truth to light — fairly, with evidence, and while it still matters. The scandal isn't the inconvenient fact; it's the act of burying it.
What we hold to
| Excavation over commentary | We produce the record, not the opinion. Evidence first. |
|---|---|
| Symmetry | We dig into every side, including our own allies. The shovel cuts both ways. |
| Timing is integrity | A truth revealed too late is a truth buried. We surface things while they matter. |
| Concealment is the offense | The embarrassing fact is not the scandal. Hiding it is. |
| Open-handed | We show our method and our reasoning. No black boxes. |
Where the information comes from
Only official public records: legislative roll calls, bill text, and campaign-finance filings. Each record links to its source. Dissinter carries no partisan colors, takes no campaign money, and sells no tools to the people it grades.
The Accountability Clause
A brand that digs cannot stonewall being dug into. Everything Dissinter publishes must survive the same excavation it performs on others. If we ever resist transparency, the word turns on us. That risk is not a weakness in the brand. It is the brand.
Coverage
Starting with Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. Federal Congress, more states and local government follow once the record here is proven accurate.
